The lost island of Tamarind

I really enjoyed this book  about three children alone on the ocean waves after a fierce storm throws there parents of the boat into the icy waters below.Maya,simon and penny  face the wild rescue adventure that  leads them to a really magical place. An island with bright green mountains pink sandy beaches and tide pools lit by the moon.An island with the darkest of secrets where pirates lurk and jaguares roam and a precious stone holds a power that is both wonderous and terrifying. This is where the children have to go.
No one from the outside has ever escaped the island before.danger is everywere.I recommend this book for year 7 and 8s.
